Is this you?

Strong at work.
Anxious in love.

Maybe you’re dating in your late 30s, or finding love after 40 feels harder than anyone admits. You’re successful, capable, the one everyone leans on. Underneath it all is a quiet longing to be chosen and cherished. Then you probably know these three feelings.

  • “I’m burned out of dating.”The apps, the ghosting, the first dates that go nowhere.
  • “There are no good men left.”So much disappointment that it has turned into armour.
  • “It’s too late for me.”A friend’s engagement, another’s pregnancy, and something inside you sinks.

None of this makes you too much, too old or too late. These are patterns, and patterns can change.

What happens in the circle

Ninety minutes, once a month, with women who get it. Share or just listen. Cameras are optional, and we use first names only.

  1. Arrive and land. A few breaths together, and one word for how you’re arriving.
  2. One limiting belief about love. We name it gently and look at where it came from.
  3. A short somatic practice. Breath, grounding or gentle movement, to release what talk can’t reach.
  4. One takeaway. One small step, and women who’ll ask how it went next month.

Your Google Meet link is emailed 48 hours before. A quiet room and a journal are all you need.

Nervous system regulation for dating

If your chest tightens when a message arrives, or a lovely date leaves you bracing for it to go wrong, that isn’t a flaw in you. It’s your nervous system keeping you safe after years of being the capable one, and a few too many disappointments.

Nervous system regulation for women who date is simply learning to bring your body out of fight-or-flight and back to calm. From there, a first date feels less like an exam. You notice what you actually feel about him, instead of scanning for danger or working hard to be liked. You choose from calm rather than fear.

In the circle we practise this together, with breath, grounding and gentle movement you can use before a date or whenever the old “it’s too late” story gets loud. It’s practical, body-based and kind, and it doesn’t ask you to relive anything. It gives your body a new experience of safety, one Sunday at a time, so love has room to come closer.

Gentle, at your pace

Shadow work and limiting beliefs about love

Most of us carry beliefs about love that we never chose. They come from old heartbreak, family stories, or a culture that tells women over 35 they’ve missed their chance. Shadow work for relationships means meeting those beliefs with curiosity instead of shame, so they stop choosing for you.

Limiting beliefs about love we often meet

In the circle we take one belief at a time: we name it, notice where it lives in the body, let go of what’s ready to go, and choose a truer belief to practise instead.

Why this circle exists

A peer support network for single women over 35

I know, because I was that woman. I wished for a circle of like-minded women who would keep me in check, cheer me on and help me through the ups and downs of modern dating. I couldn’t find one, so I created HerFrequency™.

It isn’t a social club or a vent session. It’s a support group for single women who want to grow, keeping each other accountable and hopeful through setbacks and good news.

Your host, Dr Olivia Vale

Held from inside the passage, not from a pedestal.

Dr Olivia Vale holds a PhD in behaviour and cognition and has spent over ten years in management and technology. She knows what it is to be the capable one at work and the anxious one in love.

Her work draws on Carl Jung and on Tony Robbins’ Unleash the Power Within (UPW), woven together with somatic practice and nervous system regulation.

“I was anxious and hanging on to a man who wasn’t good for me. After a few weeks of embodying HerFrequency, I felt lighter and calmer. Neutral enough to process my triggers, and to welcome love instead of chasing it.”Olivia, on her own journey

FAQ

Questions women ask

Is it too late to find love at 40?

It isn’t. “It’s too late for me” is one of the most common beliefs I hear, and in the circle we treat it as a belief to release, not a fact.

How do I stop being anxious when dating?

Start with your body: a few minutes of breath and grounding before a date calms your nervous system so you can be present, and we practise this together every month.

What happens in a women’s circle?

We arrive, share one word, look at one limiting belief about love, do a short somatic practice and leave with one takeaway. You can share or just listen, and cameras are optional. Ours is a women’s circle online, on Google Meet.

What is nervous system regulation, and how does it help with dating?

It’s learning to bring your body out of fight-or-flight, so a date feels less like an exam and you choose from calm rather than fear.

Is there a support group for single women over 35 in the UK?

Yes. HerFrequency™ is an online peer support circle for single women over 35 and 40 across the UK. We’re London-based, meeting online on Sunday evenings, for £5 a month.
